智慧の光が、進むべき道を照らす。

「サク」は、午年の守り本尊とされる、勢至菩薩（せいしぼさつ）を象徴する梵字（種子）です。

勢至菩薩は、智慧の光によって人々の迷いを照らし、正しい道へ導く存在として古くから信仰されてきました。

阿弥陀如来の脇侍として観音菩薩とともに表されることが多く、観音菩薩が「慈悲」を象徴するのに対し、勢至菩薩は「智慧」を象徴する存在として知られています。

本デザインでは、中央に「梵字 サク」を据え、勢至菩薩を象徴する「智慧の光」「水瓶」「蓮」のデザインを取り入れ、一つの円として表現しました。

強く輝く光ではなく、静かに周囲を照らしながら進む方向を示す。
そんな勢至菩薩の「智慧の光」を、現代の空間にも馴染むデザインへと仕上げています。

The Meaning Behind the Sanskrit Character “Saku”

The light of wisdom illuminates the path ahead.

“Saku” is a Sanskrit seed syllable symbolizing Seishi Bosatsu (Bodhisattva Seishi), who is revered as the guardian deity of the Year of the Horse.

Seishi Bosatsu has long been venerated as a being who dispels people’s confusion with the light of wisdom and guides them onto the right path.

Often depicted alongside Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara as an attendant of Amitabha Buddha, Bodhisattva Seishi is known as the embodiment of “wisdom,” whereas Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara symbolizes “compassion.”

In this design, the Sanskrit character “Saku” is placed at the center, and elements symbolizing Bodhisattva Seishi—the “light of wisdom,” the “water jar,” and the “lotus”—are incorporated to form a single circle.

Rather than a blindingly bright light, it quietly illuminates the surroundings while guiding the way forward.
